CCRC Courtside Chats Vol V

Name: Faith Nicole Griese

AKA Faithy/Faithypooh

Age: 19

How long have you worked at CCRC? 4 years

Favorite Thing to Eat at CCRC: Well.. My favorite thing used to be the turkey sandwich. Then it was the chicken tacos. Now it's toasted ravs. But I have to say that the fries are my all-time favorite thing.

Best Part of Working at CCRC: There have been a few Thanksgiving mornings where I have gone to CCRC and helped Dani and Deb put up some of the Christmas decorations.

Worst Part of Working at CCRC: Can't really think of anything. Other than its freezing in there like 98% of the time.

Do you play tennis? I currently play on the Missouri Baptist University Women's Tennis team. I have played tennis since I was like 12 so for 7 years and I've played at CCRC since 8th grade. I did Core and privates with Jess, Matt and Troy throughout from then til now.

Most amount of racquets you've strung in a day? 9

What is it like to work for a family business? It's really a homey feeling for me. A lot of days I would go to the club after morning practices or classes just to say hi to Dan and chill for a bit. I always love when Dani comes in the summer because that means projects and hanging out with Dani all day. I just love being there and hanging out with Dan, Deb, and Dani.

Weirdest thing that has ever happened to you working here: I was teaching red ball and the kids kept asking me if I was married. They told me that my necklace had a heart and I wore a ring so I must be married. Even though the ring was on my right hand. They were convinced I was married for a solid 2 weeks.

Favorite Member to see walk thru the doors: The Hodges Family!!! The Hodges family are the sweetest people and how can you not love little Henry! Matt and Leslie are just always friendly and happy when they come in. And Henry always brings hugs. They made my Sunday morning shift (I am not a morning person at all) the absolute best.

Tennis Pro you most admire: Troy and Matt. I admire their dedication to all of the kids that they coach and have coached and the countless hours that they spend on court. They don't only worry about how good of tennis players we are, they also care what kind of people we become.

What is something that you want members to know about you that they don't? I love teaching red ball. The kids are just so little and cute and fun to teach and talk to and get to know.

What is something that you want members to know about CCRC that they don't? Cyndi does NOT work on Thursdays and life is just so much easier if you register yourself /your kids for clinics.

Which of the Grand Slams would you want to win and why? The US Open because who would not want to win a Grand Slam in their home country.

What song would you want played when you walk out onto the court? NO CLUE

What racquet do you play with? Wilson Ultra 100L

What is your happiest memory at CCRC? I think out of all my memories at CCRC over the years my happiest is when I got to sign my National Letter of Intent to play tennis at Missouri Baptist University in the dining room. My "Dream Team" of Troy, Matt and Jess were there, along with Cole and my family. It was an important thing to me and to be able to do it at CCRC made it that much more special.
