HOW TO PLAY INDOOR TENNIS & PICKLEBALL AND STAY SAFE AT CCRC
For walk-on, lessons and permanent court time play:
-
Please wait in your car until 5 minutes before your scheduled playing time. (If you are early, you can use this time to check your court assignment so that you don’t have to stop in the pro shop.)
-
Please bring your own filled water container and a personal towel.
-
Stop and get your temperature checked before coming inside.
-
Please enter CCRC only thru the front/main doors.
-
If you need to make a purchase in the pro shop, please email your request and the proshop can have your purchase ready and waiting for you upon your arrival.
-
Please wear a mask while entering the building and at all times until you are ready to play on your court.
-
Please sanitize your hands before and after playing.
-
The USTA recommends as an extra precaution, consider using 4 or 6 balls
-
Open two cans of tennis balls that do not share the same number on the ball.
-
Take one set of numbered balls, and have your playing partner take a set of balls from the other can.
-
Proceed with play, making sure to pick up your set of numbered balls only. Should a ball with the other number wind up on your side of the court, do not touch the ball with your hands. Use your racquet head or feet to advance the ball to the other side of the court.
If you are in a permanent game and tired of trying to remember who is supposed to bring balls every week, think about buying a “Permanent Court Ball Package” for your court! You get a discounted price, the cost is distributed across everyone who plays and you pick up a new can at the proshop as you go to your court! Please email ProShop@ccrctennis.com to get yours!
-
-
Please exit your court 5 minutes before your scheduled end of play and exit thru the back building doors.
A FEW QUIRKY THINGS MIGHT HAPPEN & HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP
-
At some point, there might be opposite flows of traffic in the walkways behind the courts. In order to maintain social distancing, a person might step into a court during play to allow room for the other to pass. Please feel free to replay the point if there is a disruption. We’re calling that a “Covid Mulligan.”
-
When entering the court don’t use your hands to open the backdrop, just use your body to make an opening.
-
In order to maintain social distancing, you might need to spread out in the pro shop lobby or clubhouse if you’re waiting for assistance from pro shop staff. As much as we love talking face to face (or mask to mask) we would appreciate it if you would email Proshop@ccrctennis.com or call us with any questions. That way there is more (safe) room for everyone!
