Dear Members,

Today marks my last day as the very proud owner of CCRC and the closing chapter of my family’s long-standing corporation, Apted-Hulling.

I know that change can be challenging. There’s comfort in the familiar, and it’s natural to wonder, why change?

I’m old enough to remember the transition from wooden racquets to composites, and then to the T2000. At the time, those changes felt monumental, but look where we are now.

Over the years, I’ve seen how much my family and the Millers have poured into CCRC, making it a cornerstone of the community and a vital part of St. Louis Tennis. To ensure another 50 years of leadership in St. Louis Tennis and family fun, it’s time for me to pass the torch.

For 56 years, my family gave our hearts to CCRC, cherishing (almost) every moment. Now, it’s time to look forward. The investment and revitalization coming to CCRC will be unmatched in the Midwest, and you will once again be members of the best of the best - Life TIme Creve Coeur.

I could list all the exciting changes ahead—the beautifully upgraded locker rooms, improved courts, and a new café—but what excites me most is the incredible staff who will remain and build this new chapter with you.

Katie, Troy, Matt, Erica, Jess, Zlata, Austin, Natalie, Terrie, Michael, Alan, Kim, Macey, Cindy, and Coach Ann will all face hard work, new goals, and the challenge of building the foundation for a great future. I’m confident they’ll rise to the occasion.

I am deeply grateful to this staff, as well as the many staff members who have contributed over the years. I also want to thank my friend and VP, Margie, the visionaries my dad and Larry, and of course, my wife Deb, daughter Dani, and her husband Eric.

But as Dani has often reminded me, it’s the members who make CCRC the wonderful place it is—and will continue to be.

I look forward to playing on these tennis courts for years to come and maybe even becoming a more patient pickleball player. While I’ll miss those of you who take a different path, I’m excited to watch CCRC’s new life flourish alongside so many longtime friends.

Cheers to you all,
The Apteds

If you have a cherished CCRC story to share, we’d love to hear it! Please email your memories to Dani at Dani@ccrctennis.com. We’re compiling them into a special book celebrating the wonderful 56 years of CCRC. Feel free to include a photo—it would mean so much to us!
