The Creve Coeur Racquet Club has been a leader in St. Louis tennis for 43 years. Tennis Pros ALAN DOUGLASHead Tennis ProfessionalAlan returned to CCRC in the fall of 2000 after a 12-year absence. He is formerly a #1 ranked doubles player in the St. Louis District. Alan has been the Head Tennis Director at Sunset Country Club since 1993 and has been on the Wilson Advisory Staff since 1983. Alan enjoys working with all levels of juniors and adults. His primary objective is to improve the junior intermediate tournament level players.STEVE WALLCore Academy DirectorA native St. Louisian, Steve returned to CCRC after a 2 year absence. Formerly a top 5 ranked player locally and sectionally, as well amongest the top 100 nationally ranked throughout most of his junior career. He then went on to play at the next level for both Southeast Missouri State and then finishing at Southern Methodist University. After a very successful collegent career,Steve spent 2 years time playing on the ATP satelite circuit. When his playing days were over he went to work at the prestiges John Newcombe Tennis Academy for ten years, where he coached such future stars as Lleyton Hewitt, Mariana Lucic, as well as Byron and Wayne Black. During his time there Steve honed his skills as was one of the top coaches, spending time traveling around the world with players on the ITF, ATP and WTA circuits. He also has been on the Prince National Team staff since 2004. Steve enjoys working with juniors and adults of all ages and experience levels, where he feels he can pass on his true love and passion for the game of tennis. With some 35 years of playing and coaching experience behind him, Steve is wonderful to have at CCRC.JESS CAMPBELLTennis ProfessionalJess is the newest edition to the CCRC line of Pros. He played tennis for Jefferson Junior College, winning an all-conference trophy, where he would later be the coach of a team that would be regional champs and make two trips to the national junior college tennis tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona. At Southeast Missouri State University, from which he graduated, he was the number one singles player for two years and captain his senior year. He taught numerous adult tennis classes for Jefferson College and ran lessons for children in his home town of Festus for several years. For fifteen summers Arky was the tennis instructor for the National Youth Sports Program at Forest Park Community College where he was awarded Coach Of The Year three times. Arky also works behind the Pro Shop desk during the weekdays.JIM HAMMONDTennis ProfessionalTennis professional and USPTA member, Jim Hammond, joined the CCRC staff of professionals over the summer of 2005, bringing with him to over 20 years of teachng and playng experience. As a 5.0 USTA Men's team member, Jim's experience as a player has led him to national tournament competitions. His flexible teaching chedule, laid back style and knowledge of the game make him a strong team member and great addition to the CCRC teaching staff. ERICA PETERSONTennis ProfessionalErica brings over 20 years of tennis experience, working in all areas of the business. She has been a USPTA certified teaching professional for 16 years, was an All American collegiate player and still enjoys playing competitively. She likes to keep tennis simple by stressing the basic fundamentals, such as footwork, racquet preparation, court positioning, and strategy. She will also keep drills fast and lively. Most of all, she wants to see everyone HAVING FUN while playing the game she's so passionate about!MELISA LEMUS-MCKAYTennis Professional Melisa has been a part of the CCRC family for over 5 years. Melisa is currently helping Steve Wall develop and coach the CORE Academy.TROY BRAYTennis Professional Troy has been teaching private lessons at CCRC , but has been taken on as a coach of the CORE Academy.

Programs CCRC offers a wide variety of tennis clinics for adults and juniors, year round. Our tennis professionals are highly skilled in making sure that all players advance and have fun challenging themselves. In order to provide proper staff and court scheduling, registration for the Junior and High Performance Programs at CCRC is requied in advance and by session only. Please note: If any class fills to capacity and you are not registered, you may be "bumped" and put on a waiting list. CCRC is a Proud host of the CORE Academy of TennisThe Core Academy is an audition/acceptance group of advanced athletes The Core Academy is run by coaches Steve Wall, Melisa Lemus McKay, and Troy Bray with the beliefs of evolving and progressing a tennis players' abilities in all facets of the game. Having dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable coaches is a key element to the success of the players success. Additionally a group of players selected based on quality and motivation to play and challenge each other. The Core Academy is broken up into 3 levels. All Players will progress through the three tiers, starting with Tier 3. Players will be evaluated on a regular basis for improvements with the given goals, and will then progress through the tiers. Junior Play Camp JUNIOR PLAY CAMPSeptember 9 - May 17Join us Monday-Friday 8am to 2pm for a fun filled day of activities and games for your youngsters ages 18 months to 6 years.This is the first year to kick off our Junior Play Camp program! The Junior Play Camp will allow parents to come out to the club to play tennis during the day without having to worry about finding a babysitter! Junior Play Camp will be held on the grounds of Creve Coeur Racquet Club. The camp is available to members and non-members. Your kids will be able to participate in several different activities and games based on their age and ability level. They will have the opportunity to learn new skills, play, and make new friends! Daily Activities ranging from : * Indoor games* Playground time and field games* Crafts* Dancing* Themed Day Parties* Story Time* AND MORE! About Camp Director, Janey Schneider: My name is Janie Schneider and I'm from St. Louis, MO. I went to Greenville College in Greenville, IL and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Recreation Leadership. I've been married for a little over a year to my husband, Scott. We lived in Greenville, IL for a few years and are so excited to be back in St. Louis! I absolutely love kids and love being creative in order for kids to learn while having a ton of fun:)

Swim Team Swim TeamAt CCRC, you'll find a swim program that caters to all swimmers, from those who have never been a part of a team to year round competitors. Over the years, we have worked hard to develop a program unique to summer swimming in St. Louis, where the focus is on learning and improving in a fun, positive atmosphere.Our goal is for each swimmer to improve in technique and speed while enjoying the CCRC team experience. This is accomplished by a coaching duo that enjoys not only helping kids become better swimmers, but also getting to know each child individually. This belief is the basis of our program, which operates on the philosophy that the success of the individual creates the success of the team. Some aspects of our program that set us apart include:- consistent coaching that seeks to innovate and improve coaching techniques- 3 practices grouped according to skill level (vs. 2 groups strictly by age)- recognition of swimmers of the week, month, and yearAdditionally, the coaches offer stroke clinics and private lessons throughout the season to further the success of the swimmers.Ann Saladin Swim Team Coachann_ccrctennis.comAnn has been coaching at CCRC for over ten years. In that time, CCRC has finished in the top three every year, including three championships. As a swimmer, teacher, and parent, Ann brings multiple perspectives that enhance her coaching. She returns to CCRC every summer because of her continuous commitment to improve the swim program and her deep affection for her swimmers.

Sean is going to offer private diving lessons this summer for anyone who would like to work on their skills outside of practice. These lessons are open to dive team members as well as any other kids who would just like to get some private coaching on the board. There will be a sign up sheet similar to that of the swim lesson sheet at the pool desk. Please take advantage of this opportunity as it is a great way to help improve your childs diving ability.

Private Party Rental Private Pool Party RentalThe pool is available for private eventsSunday thru Friday 8-midnightSaturday 6-midnightfull club members fees: $150 for a 4 hour bookingfull club members fee: $75 per hour for any additional hours beyond 4 hoursnon members fees:$400 for a 4 hour booking$100 per hour for additional time beyond 4 hours all bookings after regular pool hours are for a minimum of 4 hours andmust end at midnight. Bookings for groups of 10 -40 are possible on a first come basis andcan only be confirmed with Jeff based on limited schedule of times anddates available during regular pool hours. These booking require aminimum food purchase of $6 per person and a guest fee of $5 per personfor non full club members attending.

With a membership the tennis world is yours to behold. Our highly skilled staff of tennis professionals will help you reach your fullest potential, no matter your ability level. CCRC is also joined with Sports Medicine Training Center to ensure you have a place to expand your healthy lifestyle with fitness goals utilizing their facility. At CCRC we have various levels of memberships to help you maximize your benefits at the Club. 2011 CCRC Membership Application

Full Club Full Club MembershipThis membership entitles the entire family or individual to all amenities of the club. Fifteen outdoor courts at no charge, pool privileges, the ability to book indoor courts year round and use outdoor courts during the summer months, a full service restaurant, all the club parties, use of locker rooms and showers, and better rates on classes and junior programs. ALL Full Club Members enjoy exclusive use of the pool, outdoor courts, training center. NO FEES for outdoor tennis programs, clinics or events during the summer season. NO FEES for pool programs, swim team or swim camp. NO FEES for summer camp, scheduled training center, training programs year round. NO FEES for indoor courts Memorial Day to Labor Day 8am - 8pm. During the indoor season all programs $15.00 an hour and open play courts $15.00 an hour. No guest fees (guest policy applies). Indoor Indoor MembershipThe family or individual has the ability to book indoor courts, full service restaurant privileges, locker room and shower facilities, and the use of the outdoor courts only during the indoor season. Indoor members are able to book basketball and volleyball court time in the C4 facility. Indoor members have free access to the C4 training center weight room. Memberships are a year long, but members get the privilege of having free dues during the summer months. Retiree Retiree & Social Membership:Retiree & Social memberships are a great way people 55 and older can stay active in a club setting either through social meetings or through a weekly game of tennis. The retiree membership privileges include participation in weekly retiree league games and access to the dining. The Social membership includes dining room privileges only. Sports Medicine and Training Center Sports Medicine & Training Center:The Sports Medicine & Training Center (SMTC) of St. Louis specializes in general orthopedics, sports-related physical therapy and a variety of sports performance training programs. We also offer programs tailored for sports teams and injured workers. SMTC has a second location in Creve Coeur. This additional location offers the full array of SMTC services to the West County/Chesterfield area and is near several hospitals and many public and private schools.Located within the Creve Coeur Racquet Club, this site offers everything the Webster location does - physical therapy, personal training, small group training, team training, metabolic testing and exercise classes. This facility offers more space for team training services, combined programs with the tennis club's pro staff, and is attached to the C4 Competitive Courts & Conditioning Center. Aerobic equipment on site includes treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines and an upper extremity bike. Weight equipment includes a full assortment of Hammer Strength, Nautilus, York and Total Gym pieces. SMTC Reminders Sports Medicine & Training Center: It's time to run down SMTC/C4 procedures for the start of the fall season:*If someone is a new member, friend of member or new employee and wants to use our facility they must sign up for an orientation. Orientation usually takes 15-30 minutes (including paperwork). We ask that the members either stop by to set it up or call. We may not be able to do it if someone just walks in and ask for one.*Friends of members can come in and use the training center to for a $10/day charge. But, the member must be with the friend while they are working out. The friend cannot come in alone and they must fill out some minor paperwork. *We do offer a punch card for non-members who only want to join the training center and workout without a trainer. They must go through and orientation and fill out paperwork as well.*The C4 courts are available for rent or member walk-ons. Since the C4 schedule changes constantly, it is best to call C4 or SMTC to find out if there is an open court for the times someone would like to use it. Walk-on use is $5/full club member for approximately 45 minutes and each person must sign-in at the SMTC desk or C4 concession stand.
